Here’s my recap about the Horse Makeover Clinic at Jim A Dee Ranch, Sanger, TX on June 17-21, 2022
It was a 5-day immersion and transformation!
The focus of the Horse Makeover clinic was on quality & feel, how we do things and how we leave the horse feeling.

Often times it is easy to get caught up in “what” we do with our horses and forget about whether or not the horse is really in it with us.
During these 5 fabulous days, we focused on connection, relaxation & responsiveness first and foremost. Once those core behaviors were in place our focus shifted to qualities such as confidence, impulsion, harmony, and purpose.
There was groundwork, obstacles, liberty, trailer loading, and plenty of riding, some of it in the arena, some of it beyond the arena. Something for everybody!

Theory sessions on horse psychology and simulations were a great preparation so that we were better able to give our horse the best possible set-up to be successful!
We saw remarkable changes in the horses: an OTTB who on Day 1 had a hard time keeping his feet on the ground, let alone standing still turned into a calm & connected partner both on the ground and riding.
A very pushy Appaloosa became a lot more connected & responsive. So much so that at the end of Day 5, the owner successfully loaded him onto the trailer. All the struggles they went through on their way to the clinic were gone!
The owner also shared with me that when she got home, she was able to back him off the trailer in no time and without any issues!
The horse owners who came from different backgrounds & levels of experience and a mother-daughter team traveled 7 hours all the way from Tennessee! Everybody went home with strategies on how to plan successful horse sessions and continue their progress with their horses.
This lovely group of humans really bonded and new friendships were formed.
Since it was hard to say our goodbyes, we will do it all over again in October! Join me for the Developing Harmony clinic October 7-10 at Jim A Dee!
